    Metro Materdei

Materdei station is a station on Line 1 of the Naples metro and is located in Piazza Scipione Ammirato in Naples. The station was designed by Alessandro Mendini and inaugurated in 2003.

Inside there is a mosaic of Sandro Chia, a high relief of Louis Alders and works of Sol LeWitt and serigraphs by lesser known artists. A detail of the station is the spire of glass overlooking the mosaic of Chia which has been designed by Mendini, who also wrote the urban redevelopment of the area surrounding the station.

The station is not located in a street of great communication (like others), but it is found in Materdei District, within walking distance to the nearest Arenella, the "Rione Sanità" and the bus stop that allows you to move around.
